The Counselling Association of South Australia was formed in response to the need for counsellors and psychotherapists in South Australia to have a professional body that could promote their goals and represent their interests.

Inaugurated on the 31st May 1997, CASA provides a professional association committed to best practice counselling for clients and to the provision of professional support for practitioners, and to promoting the profession in the wider community.

CASA is a registered not-for-profit organisation and is a member association of the national organisation, the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

The Executive Committee, which is responsible for the management and the direction of the Association, is elected annually by members.

CASA provides a Counsellor Directory on this web site, to enable the community to access CASA counsellors and psychotherapists .

The Professional Development Committee organises regular seminars throughout the year, which are open to the public.

An eNews is prepared by the Editorial Committee bi-monthy.

For the benefit of our members, we publicise events that may be of interest for their continuing professional development in our Calendar of Events.
